BioI'm a graduate student in physics, which means I spend way too much time in front of a computer writing (read:surfing) and not enough time in the lab (read: making electronics smoke) I moved around a lot as a kid (still do). When people ask me where I'm from, I ask them to define 'from'. When people ask me where home is, I ask them what they mean by 'home'.
Pretty universally though, home is somewhere in North America, OR I'm from somewhere that uses the metric system. (That is an OR not an AND, because while the Venn diagram of 'home' and 'from' inersect, one is not a subset of the other).
